Interact is Rotary International’s service club for young people ages 12 to 18. Interact clubs are sponsored by individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance, but they are self-governing and self-supporting.
Each year, Interact clubs complete countless community service projects, under the Rotary slogan “service above self.”
Through these efforts, Interactors develop a network of friendships with local and overseas clubs and learn the importance of:
Developing leadership skills and personal integrity.
Benefiting the community through service projects.
Creating valuable friendships.
Advancing international understanding and goodwill.
As one of the most significant and fastest-growing programs of Rotary service, with more than 290,000 Interactors in 12,300 clubs and 133 countries. Interact has become a worldwide phenomenon.
High school students can become involved in the Interact Club at their high school or even start their own. They can also join the Interact 5510 District Council. The District Council creates a unified district of Interact clubs to promote international understanding and goodwill. District Council meets once a month in order to plan the annual Fall Leadership Conference in October, Presidents Retreat in February, and other events that promote the goals of Interact throughout the district. The possibilities with Interact are endless. Together we can make a difference in our community and even the world.
