eClub launches demonstration project in India with DDF money.

Our eClub was unsuccessful with their bid to get a matching grant in 2009, so they worked with the district to fund their windmill project in Gujarat,India. This project benefits salt workers, who earn approximately $0.38 per day. By replacing noisy, dirty diesel pumps with wind turbine pumps, this project effectively doubles the family income, while using the power of the wind instead of diesel fuel to pump sea water.
